FROM NAMI MICHIGAN WALK WEEKLY
The National NAMI provides sixty days following our WALK to receive all funds and we are continuing to do so EVERY DAY. Just yesterday $6000.00 arrived which included a wonderful contribution from Bristol Meyers Squibb of $5000.00! We have total walk revenue in hand of over $111,000 as of today! Very close to our goal! This is 20% greater than last year and our net will be much higher due to lower costs to hold the WALK. If you have outstanding WALK money please mail it to the NAMI Michigan office ASAP at 921 N. Washington Ave. Lansing, Michigan 48906. Our first WALK meeting for 2009 is schedule for November 17, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. if you have ideas for the WALK or would like to be a part of the planning committee please email me at shallsolomon@comcast.net. The 2009 WALK will be held at Belle Isle on Saturday September 26, 2009 at 11a.m. The NAMI WALKS BRIDGE WALK WILL BE ON LABOR DAY! Mark your calendar for next year's WALKS. Thanks again, Sherri
